Margarita:

Four bottles of flavored tequila with blue and red bottles in the background, and four margaritas with flower garnishes in the foreground, on a wooden surface outdoors.

Ingredients

2 ounces Tequila Ocasion blanco

1 ounce fresh-squeezed lime juice

1 ounce orange liqueur

½ ounce agave syrup

Coarse salt for the rim (optional)

Lime wedge or wheel for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the glass: If you want a salted rim, cut a small slit in a lime wedge and run the juicy part around the rim of your serving glass. Pour coarse salt onto a small plate and dip the moistened rim into the salt, rotating the glass until the rim is covered.

  2. Combine ingredients: Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave syrup (if using).

  3. Shake well: Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the liquid is well-chilled and mixed.

  4. Strain and serve: Fill your prepared glass with fresh ice. Strain the margarita mixture into the glass.

  5. Garnish: Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge and serve immediately.
